The United States plans to provide another military aid package to Ukraine

The United States plans to announce about $300 million in military aid to Ukraine. Reuters reported on Thursday, citing two official sources, that the package is expected to consist mainly of ammunition.
The aid may be announced on Friday, but it will likely be announced after Memorial Day in the US (May 29).
The package contains precision missiles (GMLRS) for the HIMARS platform and ammunition to defend against Russian attacks.
The equipment will be funded through the President’s Troops Withdrawal Authority (PDA) program, which enables Washington in an emergency to quickly move equipment and supplies from US stockpiles without the need for congressional approval.
Reuters notes that the content and size of the aid package may change until the president signs off on the plan.
