The first full trailer for Barbie is here. We know the outline of the plot

The first, shorter version of the trailer for “Barbie” was shared on social media by Warner Bros. Pictures. Pictures late last year. Shows some footage from this pink-laced production. Now, on May 25, the full version of the trailer has been released online. It turns out that the plot outline of “Barbie” goes something like this: Living in the hot pink land of Barbie, the title character (Ruby) one day loses her superpowers. She falls from the roof instead of flying gently on the ground, and her feet, which were always positioned as if heeled, become completely flat. She begins to think and talk about matters of concern to ordinary people, such as death, which confuses the other dolls. She became imperfect, causing her to be expelled from Barbie Land and into the real world. Ken (Gosling) accompanies her on this trip. In the real world, both of them face problems they never knew before, such as insistence on suitors and arrest.

Today.com notes that one of the pieces in the trailer resembles the famous scene from “Martix.” There, Neo had to decide his life path, choosing the blue or red pill. Barbie faces a similar choice: her signature high-heeled shoes, which mean stay in the land of eternal pink, or comfy sandals, that is, a trip to the real world.

The world premiere of “Barbie” will take place on July 19, 2023, in Poland and the film will go to cinemas only a few days later – on July 21. In addition to playing the main roles of Robbie and Gosling, the cast included m.in. America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman and Will Ferrell. The director of the comedy, which will undoubtedly be one of the most famous productions of the year, is associated with a completely different climate Greta Gerwig. She co-wrote the screenplay with Noah Baumbach. “If you love Barbie, this movie is for you. If you hate Barbie… this movie is for you,” the producers encourage in the trailer.

This week, the creators of “Barbie” also revealed the list of artists that will be heard on the album, the official soundtrack to the movie. Many netizens write that it is a sure candidate for the title of Album of the Year, without dividing it into categories or genres. The list includes artists representing very diverse voices, for example Ava Max, Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, KAROL G, Khaled, Tame Impala or The Kid LAROI. Gosling is singing in one of the songs. The creators point out that the list has not yet been closed.
