The accident occurred on the night from Thursday to Friday at the Żabka supermarket chain on Grota-Roweckiego Street. Just before it closed, about 30 young men entered it and began to ransack the store. – Members of the group, not paying attention to the service, steal wines, sweets and snacks. Instead of paying, they threw a small sum near the log, and then, amused, went out into town. A store employee reported it to a security company, but none of those involved in the incident were arrested, says Agnieszka Nerechua, press officer at the municipal police headquarters in Opole.
Witnesses wanted
The police are currently looking for witnesses to the accident. According to preliminary findings, the participants in the attack may have been returning from the evening party.
As the spokeswoman for the Opole police recalls, theft is an ex officio crime punishable by up to five years in prison.
